Ingredients
- 1 lb Lean Hamburger
- 1/2 lb Ground Pork
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 medium egg
- 75g (half a jar) Ella's Pantry Donair Seasoning
- add a little milk to make the loaf more moist
Directions
- In a large bowl combine the ground beef and ground pork until fully combined. Then add the egg and bread crumbs and Donair Seasoning and give it one last mix until completely combined. Use your hands and a big bowl, but a mixer and a paddle beater would work well too! The less lumps the better it is.
- Place meat on a piece of plastic wrap and form the donair meat into a rough log. For better results, place the log into a refrigerator for a couple hours or overnight to let the meat season.
- Place the log on a broiling rack and cook in a 250°F oven for approximately 3 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Broil on low for about 8 min turning the log every 2 min to crisp the outside if desired.
- Remove donair meat from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature before refrigerating for a few hours or overnight or enjoy right away.
