Turmeric is considered a major spice in the Middle East. Our Turmeric is fresh from Sri Lanka (Ceylon). As with most members of the ginger family Turmeric has a warm feel and flavour. It is a key ingredient in Indian, Persian and Thai curries. Turmeric is one of the key ingredients in many curries, giving them color and flavour.
